EUR/USD is trying to regain ground near three-week lows, trading at 1.09600.
The pair suffered its biggest drop in four months after Euro bulls' disappointing reaction to the European Central Bank (ECB) raising interest rates by 25 basis points. The ECB statement indicates flexibility for further tightening measures, with ECB President Christine Lagarde reiterating the importance of the change in policy language. The pair's decline comes despite general optimism in the market about the possibility of monetary policy tightening easing by major central banks.
The DXY index showed a big jump and is trading at 101.74, supported by positive preliminary data on annualized GDP, US durable goods orders in the second quarter of June and unexpectedly low unemployment data. The 10-K Treasury yield hit a three-week high near 4%, the biggest daily gain in a month.
Attention now shifts to GDP and inflation numbers in Germany and France, ahead of the release of the Fed's favorite indicator, the core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index for June. The PCE price index and U.S. personal spending remain strong. If these indicators are indicative of rising interest rates, it will support a more hawkish Fed policy. If German data points to recession fears and softer inflation, the Euro could continue to decline. However, the fall also depends on the strength of US inflation indicators.
Technical analysis and scenarios:

EUR/USD is currently trading near the 1.09600 level. Since the Alligator indicator is indicating a downtrend due to the open mouth and the jaw (blue line) is high above the lips and teeth (red and green lines), it seems that we can expect the bearish trend to continue on the pair. Given the bearish signals from the Alligator indicator, the main scenario would be to open a sell position.
